One of the ideas for creating Oddman Productions in the first place was to produce a series of what I like to refer to as ‘Con Games’. Others may refer to them as beer and pretzel games or whatnot. But I have been running games at conventions for 10 years now and what I have found is players are really drawn to fun little cinematic games. Full of character and action, but short on paperwork and rules clarifications.
These games can usually fit into about a 2 hour time slot and will leave the players satisfied with lots of cool gaming moments to share with their friend. I believe Howard Whitehouse may have perfected this concept!
With that in mind comes my first title ‘Flying Fists of Lead’. As an unapologetic fan of Kung Fu cinema I am putting together a game that incorporates high flying cinematic martial art action, all without loads of paperwork or overly laborious rules. The working playtest rules actually include no stat sheets with everything relying on the belt level of the character and the number of Ki dice it rolls per turn.
If this sounds like fun to you, drop me a line and I will include you in all rule writing and playtesting information.
